Thank you for donating to the Clothes Closet!
Our aim is to help restore dignity to God's children on Flint's Eastside through the gift of clothing. Before donating, please read through the FAQ's listed below.
The Clothes Closet is best served when donors reference the list of items needed below. Because of our limited storage space, if an item is not listed below, we kindly ask that you do not donate that item.
Yes - however, the clothes must be something that you would personally wear. Donations should be clean, lightly used (not ripped or tattered),
timely, and seasonally appropriate. Clothing items that do not meet these standards will be kindly refused.
*Underwear must be new.
It is preferred that clothes are donated through one of our partner congregations; however, clothing donations may be brought directly to the Mission. If donations are brought directly to the Mission, it is requested that an appointment be made through our office, and that clothes are labelled with your congregation's name for our reference.
Because our immediate intersection is one of the most heavily sex-trafficked corners in the entire country, we ask that donated items encourage modesty. Tight and/or revealing styles are not appreciated.
While we recognize charity to be a fruit of the Spirit, we kindly ask you refrain from donating items to the Clothes Closet not listed below.
To better serve the Eastside community's evolving needs the Clothes Closet is currently closed and transitioning into an emergency clothes closet. While we are condensing our inventory and preparing for new ministry opportunities, we are committed to maintaining enough supplies so that any community member may make an appointment to shop.
